Garden Assistance Scheme
The Garden Assistance Scheme provides a basic garden service to council tenants, owner occupiers, tenants of private landlords and housing association tenants, who cannot maintain their gardens for themselves. The scheme runs from April to October each year but applications can be made at any time.
If you are elderly or disabled, live alone or do not have a family member nearby and you are struggling to maintain your garden it can be arranged to be done for you. There is an annual charge for owners, tenants of private landlords and housing association tenants. For more information please contact your local housing office. If your garden is larger than 1000m2 there will be an additional charge. If your garden is above 1500m2 we will not be able to include you in this scheme.
