Befriending Services in North Lanarkshire
Home visiting and befriending services have been developed across North Lanarkshire.
These services focus on supporting people who are isolated to engage in community based activity or, for those who are unable to leave their homes, to become less isolated through the use of technology such as telephone contact.
Home visiting and befriending can also be of considerable benefit to carers by providing some opportunity for short breaks from their caring role and supporting carers to access to a range of community based support services.
